2023 Dodge Durango

The Dodge Durango is a full-size SUV that has space for the entire family, without sacrificing any of the power under the hood that Dodge is known for. With a strong and capable powertrain, tons of interior space, and a robust towing capacity, the 2023 Durango has a lot to offer.

Meet the 2023 Dodge Durango

The Durango doesn’t receive many substantial changes for its 2023 model. The ones of note include heated front seats now coming standard across all trim levels, and adding the forward-collision warning as an option on the base-level SXT trim.

Beyond those changes, Dodge has also added four new colors to the lineup: Frostbite, a light blue, Night Moves, a very dark almost-black blue, Red Oxide, a dark burnished red, and Triple Nickel: a strong true silver.

Engine and Powertrain Options

The 2023 Durango comes standard with a powerful AWD 3.6L V6 that produces an impressive 295 horsepower and can tow up to 6,200 pounds. This can be upgraded to a 5.7L Hemi V8 that spits out an incredibly powerful 360 horsepower, available in both AWD and RWD, and the ability to tow up to a maximum of 7,400 pounds.

The SRT-level trims come with their own V8 engine options: a 6.4L 475-horsepower engine in the SRT 392, and a supercharged 6.2L engine that produces 710 horsepower in the SRT Hellcat AWD. Both engines can tow up to a maximum of 8,700 pounds.

Fuel Efficiency

The V6 clocks in at an average combined fuel efficiency rating of 21 mpg, while the 5.7L V8 registers an average combined 17 mpg in AWD and RWD. The SRT trim levels are rated at a combined 15 mpg for the 6.4L V8 and 13 mpg for the 6.2L.

Tech and Interior Features

The interior of the Durango is focused on creating an ergonomic and spacious cabin for the whole family. Leather and metal trim options add a bit of flair to the dashboard and side panels, and there’s enough second and third-row seating space for adults to fit comfortably even on longer trips.

The infotainment center in the console features a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen that can be upgraded to a 10.1-inch screen. A rear-seat entertainment system is available for the second row to keep the kids entertained on road trips, and notably, the build quality of the Durango is such that you will be able to easily hear music and movies playing over the sound of the monstrous engine under the hood.
