The Ram 1500 is one of America's favorite full-sized pick-up trucks. But only those who evolve can stay on top. In 2025 we bid farewell to the Ram 1500 Classic trim while eagerly jumping into new features and even a new trim level this model year! Under the Hood Ram pick-up trucks have traded in their old Hemi V-8 engine for a set of 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline-six engines, available in 2 engine models. These Hurricane engines leapfrog over the previous 395hp and 410lb-ft torque with a great new power of 420hp and 469lb-ft or step it up to 540hp and 521lb-ft torque! The new Ram engines are referred to as "SST" meaning straight-six turbo engines. Towing & Payload Capacities In the 2025 Ram 1500 we find a maximum towing capacity of 11,580 pounds with a maximum payload capacity of 2,300. Whether towing for work or recreation, this powerhouse should serve all needs. Exterior As everyone is ditching incandescent lights, the Ram 1500 is no different. Now enjoy LED head and taillamps as well as refreshed bumpers and larger, updated grilles, plus fresh new color choices, and new wheel designs. Tungsten Trim Level Limited trim level is no longer king. We have graduated to the new, top of the line, elite, and luxurious Tungsten! As the most technologically advanced trim level, this 1500 greets you with heated, cooling, massaging, power, leather front seats, a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premier audio system, real wood and carbon accents, and 2 LCD monitors.  Not to mention safety technology including traffic sign recognition, evasive steer assist, drowsy driver detection, intersection collision assist, and more! RAM Rev Entering the arena of electric trucks, Ram is coming in strong with the Ram Rev in 2025, setting itself apart from the competition with some stellar features. The much hyped "frunk" or front trunk is no longer a Tesla exclusive. Not only is the Rev sporting a frunk: it is more than double the size of Tesla's front storage space. Rev also features an available onboard power panel of 3.6 kilowatts, 15 cubic feet of storage space, and secure weatherproof protection. Rev is also easy to charge with its Smart Charging port, ready to handle three different charging levels and capable of charging 110 miles in just 10 minutes. Navigating Through the Seasons: Essential Maintenance Tips for Your RAM Truck

Image via Bill Snethkamp CDJR. RAM maintenance replaces worn parts, fixes minor issues, and helps increase vehicle life and performance. As your local RAM dealer in Highland Park, we want to give you some samples of the types of services we can provide when you need them. more Belt and Hoses Service Your RAM has a belt and several hoses, each of which plays a vital role in your vehicle's performance. The serpentine belt connects to the crankshaft. The crankshaft turns when you drive, the belt runs across several pulleys, and this causes them to spin and power systems like the alternator and the AC compressor. The main hoses in your vehicle are the fuel hose, two radiator hoses, the power steering hose, and the heater hose. These hoses are made from high-quality rubber for flexibility and strength. Hoses can wear out or crack, and this will cause fluid leaks into your engine. Our technicians will check these components for damage and replace them if necessary. Auto Inspection Like an annual health checkup with your doctor, your RAM benefits from a regular inspection. Our RAM-trained technicians are experts at diagnosis and repair and will carefully examine several of the most important systems and components in your vehicle. They can easily identify an issue and repair it while your vehicle is in the shop. This saves you money by preventing a small issue from turning into a potentially serious problem requiring an expensive repair. Some of the systems checked include fluid levels, belts, hoses, tires, and brake pads. They complete a checklist and identify components that are working correctly, those that will need replacement soon, and components that require immediate replacement. After a successful inspection, you can drive peace of mind as you'll know your RAM is working as efficiently as possible. Tire Rotation A tire rotation helps reduce tire wear and tear. Your tires naturally abrade as you drive, but they suffer additional and avoidable damage due to their positions on your RAM. Each tire position produces a different wear pattern, and a tire that continues to wear on the same sections will either leak or blow out. During this process, we shift each tire to a different position on your vehicle. The new position each tire moves to depends on the type of drivetrain on your vehicle. On an FWD, for example, the front tires move directly to the rear, while the rear tires move to the front and change sides. This allows your tires to wear down at a relatively similar rate, helping extend tire life. If you'd like to know more about our maintenance or to book maintenance for your RAM, contact our service department today at Bill Snethkamp CDJR in Highland Park, MI.

The Importance of Tire Rotation for Your RAM Truck: Enhancing Performance and Safety

Image via Bill Snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. One threat that all truck tires face is uneven wear. Uneven tread wear slowly develops in all road vehicles, reducing traction and handling while increasing the risk of skids and blowouts. This is why it's so important to get routine tire rotations at your local RAM dealership. more Boost Your Overall Road Safety When tires wear down unevenly, various safety issues ensue. As the tires are no longer uniform in size and wear patterns, brake force becomes unevenly exerted, too. This can increase your risk of skidding, especially on wet or icy road surfaces. Furthermore, with excessively uneven tires, just one or two tires are taking more strain and damage from the road, which increases the risk of those overly worn tires blowing out or experiencing air pressure problems. Routine rotation mitigates these risks, keeping you and your passengers safer. Save on the Cost of New Tires When a set of four tires becomes excessively uneven, they're no longer safe, and you'll have to prematurely replace them. It's usually not practical to replace only the most worn tires because then you'd be in the same predicament: the two new tires would be considerably larger than the older tires. So by keeping your tires even with regular rotations, you'll keep each tire set useful for longer and reduce your long-term expenses on tires. Keep Your Handling Highly Responsive Regular rotation also helps to keep your steering and overall handling more precise and responsive. Your truck was engineered to operate with all four wheels at the same size and all four tires with the same depth of treads. So naturally, when you keep things this way, your truck performs better. Reduce Road Noise and Vibrations As tires become uneven, you'll notice an uptick in noise and vibrations from the road. With regular rotation, your drives will remain smooth and quiet and only get noisy when you intentionally take your truck into the wilderness for some off-road fun. Improve Your Truck's Fuel Efficiency The extra friction generated by uneven tires means the engine has to work harder and burn more fuel for each mile. Because of this, regular rotations keep your gas mileage to a minimum, saving you on the cost of fuel over the years. How Frequently To Visit Your RAM Dealer for Rotations Most truck drivers should have their tires rotated at least twice a year. You can have the service carried out at the same time as your biannual oil changes and brake inspections. While rotating your tires, the technicians at your local dealership can also check for and resolve any other tire-related problems. Have your truck's tires rotated today at Bill Snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Highland Park, MI.

What's Covered Under RAM's Extended Warranty?

Image via Bill Snethkamp CDJR. While it's easy to cover the cost of routine maintenance like wiper blade replacements and oil changes, other vehicle repairs are more expensive. An extended warranty from RAM can significantly reduce the repair costs for more expensive vehicle components. Learn more about available vehicle protection plans at your RAM dealer. more What's Covered Under RAM's Extended Warranty? RAM warranties are all backed by MOPAR. There are four MOPAR Vehicle Protection Plans to choose from, so you can customize your preferred level of coverage. Each vehicle protection plan has unique coverage details and coverage eligibility requirements. MVP Maximum Care Plus The MVP plan is designed for new cars that are within three years or 36,000 miles of the vehicle's first in-service date. The coverage term for this plan is eight years or up to 150,000 miles. This plan offers the most comprehensive level of coverage, similar to the limited bumper-to-bumper factory warranty that came with your RAM. Added Care Plus This plan has the same eligibility requirements as the MVP plan and the same coverage term length. This plan will cover over 800 vehicle components, which include the powertrain, transmission, and drivetrain. MOPAR Maximum Care To qualify for this plan, your used vehicle must be 10 years old or less and must have fewer than 150,000 miles on the odometer. If your vehicle has a five-year or 60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, then your car must have fewer than 125,000 miles on the odometer. The term length for this plan is five years. This plan also covers 850 vehicle components. Added Care This plan is also designed for used RAM vehicles and has a coverage length of up to five years. This plan will cover the powertrain, drivetrain, and transmission, along with 650 vehicle components. When Is the Best Time to Buy a RAM Warranty at Your RAM Dealer? The best time to buy a vehicle protection plan will depend on whether you are buying a new or used RAM. If you are buying a new RAM, then you should wait until your factory warranty expires to maximize the length of your vehicle protection. If you are buying a used or Certified Pre-Owned RAM, then it might be a good idea to purchase a long-term warranty on the same day you buy your vehicle, particularly if the factory warranty on your RAM has already or is about to run out. A RAM vehicle protection plan is a great way to save money on repair costs for major vehicle systems, such as your drivetrain or powertrain. Your eligibility for individual plans is determined by whether you have a new or used vehicle. To learn more about your coverage options, contact Bill Snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

At your local CDJR dealer, you'll discover many newer models with all the latest upgrades! more 1. Infotainment Systems Every new and modern vehicle now comes with an infotainment system. It's essentially a built-in computer that feeds you information and allows you to enjoy different forms of entertainment while you're on the road. Infotainment systems also often come with touchscreen displays and voice commands. Why are infotainment systems important? They offer you greater technological integration with your own vehicle. You can hook up your smartphone and listen to music or podcasts as you travel to different destinations. Infotainment systems are also compatible with many different mobile devices. 2. Driver Assist and Safety Systems The beauty of owning a newer vehicle is that it provides you with additional layers of safety. You can remain alert of what's happening around you at all times whenever you're on the road. Driver assist and safety systems are incredibly resourceful when it comes to preventing accidents and injuries. Most modern vehicles now alert you about potential hazards that can occur in different situations. The more common safety features include Lane-Departure Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance, and Cross-Traffic Alerts. Many vehicles also offer Adaptive Cruise Control, which allows you to maintain safe distances from other drivers. 3. Digital Rearview Mirrors More and more new vehicles every year come with digital rearview mirrors. This technology is pretty impressive because it allows you to get a full view of what's behind you when you're driving. The upgraded mirror ultimately provides you with greater awareness and protection when you're on the road. Digital rearview mirrors make use of HD cameras, which give you a clear view from behind. They also help eliminate blind spots and enable you to detect when other drivers are trying to overtake your vehicle. Digital rearview mirrors also provide you with greater visibility of the road behind you when it's dark outside. 4. Built-in Wireless Charging This particular feature is also quickly becoming more prevalent in modern vehicles. Wireless charging allows you to power up your smartphone and other similar mobile devices whenever you're on the go. You never have to worry about your phone running out of battery ever again!
