Which Family-Friendly Feature in the 2019 Pacifica Is Your Favorite?

The 2019 Pacifica is a great vehicle when you have a family. There are multiple features that you'll love about this minivan, including a spacious interior. Here are a few family-friendly features that you'll love about the 2019 Pacifica. more Spacious The Pacifica 2019 comes standard with seating for seven people. However, you can increase that to eight if you get the optional middle seat in the second row. The standard material for the seats is cloth, but they also have ventilated, heated, and leather front seats available if you want to add a little luxury to your drive. You can also get heated seats in the second row and front seats that are power-adjustable eight different ways. There's enough legroom in the minivan even when the full seating capacity is used. The van also has four LATCH car-seat connectors on the rear-outboard seats. Plenty of Cargo Space When you have a family, you're bound to have cargo you need to lug around with you. Whether it's soccer gear for practice or luggage for a road trip, having enough space in your vehicle is essential with a family. When all the seats are up, there are 32.3 cubic feet available for storage. That means you can store plenty of sports gear or suitcases, and when the second and third rows fold down that expands to 140 cubic feet of space. Another convenient feature is the Stow 'n Go seats, which fold into the floor so you can maximize your storage space available. This is in comparison to most minivans where the seats have to be physically removed, so the Pacifica 2019 makes it quicker and easier to get storage space. Many Safety Features Another feature most people find important when they have families are having safety features in the vehicle to protect the passengers. The Pacific 2019 has plenty of those that you'll love. Parking assistance makes it easy to pull in and out of parking spots. You'll have a camera to watch as you're backing out of a spot to let you see anything in your way and tell you how you need to turn the car to avoid hitting objects. Rear cross path detection tells you if something suddenly comes into your path, such as another car or a person, so you can stop the van in time. The vehicle also has perpendicular and parallel parking assist to show you how to turn the wheel to fit into the parking space. That means you'll be able to park closer when you see a coveted spot and not have to walk far with the kids out of fear of not knowing if you'll fit into a parallel parking spot. If you're interested in seeing the 2019 Pacifica in person, visit our dealership at Bill Snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Our staff is happy to answer any questions you have and even let you take it for a test drive. We also have a wide selection of other cars, trucks, and SUVs. Image via Billsnethkamp.net

3 Reasons Your Family Needs a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid

Hybrid vehicles are a popular option in the marketplace today. But until recently, options for a family plug-in hybrid vehicle didn't encompass a minivan. Chrysler eliminated this challenge by making a hybrid version of its popular Chrysler Pacifica. If you're in the market for a family-friendly hybrid, here are three reasons to put the 2018 Pacifica Hybrid at the top of your list. It's the Only Plug-In Minivan Top among the reasons to get the 2018 Pacifica Hybrid is the fact that it's the only plug-in hybrid minivan on the market today. It has a battery pack and gas engine combination that will get you and your family around. Like a traditional hybrid, the gas engine comes on once the electric engine exhausts itself. One of the greatest things about the 2018 Pacifica Hybrid is that its electric engine goes for about 30 miles before the traditional engine kicks in. On a full overnight charge, the Pacifica can go for almost 35 miles even at highway speeds. more The Pacifica Hybrid Fits Everything For the 2018 Pacifica Hybrid, Chrysler gave up one of the eight seats in the van for the electric battery pack, but it still fits a modern family in a smart way. The third row fits adults up to six feet tall and folds away when not needed, while the second row folds down when extra space is a priority. When both rows are up, the Pacifica has 32.3 cubic feet of storage, and it expands to 98.3 behind the second row. Smart storage is all over the vehicle with cubbies, cupholders, trays, and door pockets to fit everything an active family needs. There are even cup holders in the third row. Whether you want to store a tablet in the front console, small toys for long road trips, or lots of groceries, the Pacifica Hybrid holds it all. It's Packed Full of Features The Pacifica Hybrid has space, storage, and mileage to make it a top family minivan. But Chrysler hasn't forgotten to add features to make the ride comfortable and safe. It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.4-inch touchscreen to control the audio, sliding power doors, and power-adjustable front seats. There's also three-zone climate control, automatic halogen headlights, a backup camera, rear parking sensors, and blind spot monitors. Optional upgrades include heated seats and leather trim starting on the Touring L trim. But it's the Limited trim that takes things up a notch with entertainment options: HD radio, navigation, and real-time traffic, along with the hands-free operation to the power sliding doors. The Pacifica Hybrid Limited options vary compared to the conventional Pacifica Limited, so make sure to review the available options carefully. The 2018 Pacifica Hybrid is the top-tier choice for families who spend lots of time in the car. It gets good mileage on the electric side with a conventional gas engine when you need it. Factor in the storage, space, seating capacity, and features for a minivan that stands head and shoulders above the rest. Bill Snethkamp CDJR - 4 Benefits of In-Car Wi-Fi Connectivity

A growing number of cars, including those made by Mopar brands, are coming with an available Wi-Fi hotspot. For a monthly subscription, your vehicle can receive a satellite internet connection, and then an on-board wireless router lets people connect their devices to the vehicle's Wi-Fi signal. There are several reasons why a connection like this can come in handy on the road. A Stronger Signal When you use your phone's data plan to send and receive information like texts and emails, you're relying on your provider's network of cell towers. These towers cover a lot of the United States, but there are still dead zones where there are no nearby towers to receive your phone's signal, especially if you head west. Vehicle Wi-Fi uses a satellite to connect you to the internet, and while the connection isn't perfect, it does give you the same good signal just about anywhere in the United States. more Lower Costs Your vehicle's Wi-Fi only works so long as you pay a subscription, but the monthly fee is reasonable and usually doesn't go up when you use the connection more often. However, when you're out on the road there's a good chance you'll be "data roaming" according to your phone service, and that can add to your monthly bill. Using your vehicle's Wi-Fi connection avoids those added costs, which is how paying that monthly subscription can be cheaper in the long run. Software Updates Along with providing a Wi-Fi connection for your smartphones and other devices, the same subscription usually gives you other services that improve your vehicle's systems. For instance, the connection can update your navigation system to show road closures, newly constructed roads, and real-time traffic updates. You could also get a connection to a live operator who can help you with things like finding a local restaurant or other business. This connection can also let your vehicle's manufacturer send software updates to fix bugs and remove security threats. Car Connectivity There's a good chance that car-based Wi-Fi may be the connection vehicles need to become completely safe and self-driving. For years now, engineers have known that it's not enough to have cameras and sensors to see the road, the lines, and obstacles. Vehicles should also know exactly where to find each other so they can plan routes that take them through intersections without any risk of hitting each other. If every vehicle broadcast its own Wi-Fi hotspot, that might turn out to be just the kind of signal cars need to be aware of each other. Not every vehicle owner needs a Wi-Fi connection, but those who regularly have a lot of passengers or go on long trips through dead zones will get a lot of use out of it. Not only that, but the subscription that activates your vehicle's hotspot usually comes with other benefits you can't get anywhere else. Thanks to benefits like these and the possible safety benefits, you'll probably see more vehicles equipped to offer Wi-Fi in the future. Image via Flickr by Dana Spiegel used Under CC BY-SA 2.0
