2025 RAM 2500
The 2025 Ram 2500 brings significant upgrades to its segment with increased power and improved capabilities. This latest model features a redesigned engine that sets new standards for heavy-duty-truck performance, while interior improvements integrate modern technology with practical functionality.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
LED headlights, black front and rear bumpers, and 17-by-7.5-inch steel wheels with all-season tires come standard on the Tradesman trim. The Big Horn/Lone Star adds chrome front and rear bumpers, while the off-road-focused Power Wagon features specialized equipment and exclusive styling elements, such as a unique grille. Extensive chrome accents set the Laramie apart. Chrome tubular side steps are also available on this trim. The Rebel presents a rugged appearance with model-specific badging and exterior accents.
The Limited Longhorn incorporates Western-themed design elements in its exterior styling, while the Limited boasts exclusive design elements that mark it as the premium option in the lineup. The RamBox Cargo Management System is available across multiple trims, adding practical storage solutions to the truck bed. LED headlights are standard across all trims, with optional LED taillamps.
Power and Performance
The 2025 Ram 2500 offers two engine choices. The 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output Turbo-Diesel generates 430 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque, making it a class leader in power output. This engine achieves 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. The 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 produces 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, providing strong performance for drivers who prefer a gasoline engine. Both engines work with the new TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission, which features a smooth second-gear start with an unladen truck and includes a new electronic column shifter.
The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty with the diesel engine achieves a maximum towing capacity of 36,610 pounds. The eight-speed transmission reduces engine rpm by up to 25% at highway speeds in diesel models. These improvements create better fuel efficiency and a more refined driving experience.
Interior
A 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument panel is standard, and a 14.5-inch touchscreen featuring split-screen capability is optional. A segment-first 10.25-inch passenger display allows navigation access and external camera views. The front seats feature a 40/20/40-split configuration. Luxury options include massaging seats, quilted-leather upholstery, and a 23-speaker Klipsch stereo system.
Safety Features
The 2025 Ram 2500 includes adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning-plus as standard features. Big Horn and higher trims add front and rear parking sensors. Additional safety technology options include drowsy driver detection, traffic sign recognition, lane departure steering assist, and active lane management.
A 360-degree surround-view camera system with trailer integration helps with maneuvering, while blind-spot camera views assist while towing. Trailer brake control and ParkSense front/rear park assist improve safety during parking and towing. The optional LED taillamps include blind-spot monitoring, and a trailer reverse guidance view assists with reversing while towing.
