2021 Chrysler Pacifica

The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is sold in four trim levels: Touring, Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle. All trims include LED exterior lighting, power-sliding side doors, heated side mirrors, and a power liftgate. Chrysler also updated the appearance of this model for 2021, adding sleek exterior styling with dual front grilles, a rear spoiler, and aerodynamic intakes. The Touring L mainly adds interior enhancements, sharing its exterior styling with the base trim. With the Limited trim, standard equipment includes an auto-dimming driver's side mirror, hands-free functionality for the side doors and liftgate, and a panoramic sunroof. At the top of the list, the Pinnacle trim adds tilt-down functionality and integrated turn signals in the side mirrors and a roof rack.

All trim levels of the Pacifica come with the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine that puts out 287 horsepower. It pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission that powers the front wheels on most trims, although all-wheel drive is available for all models. In speed testing, this model went from zero to 60 mph in 7.3 seconds, which is about average for the segment. Chrysler offers a hybrid version of the popular minivan, which includes the same engine paired with two electric motors and a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. The hybrid powertrain puts out 260 horsepower and comes in about a half-second slower in speed testing.

The 2021 Pacifica is one of the only minivans to offer all-wheel drive, which is an appealing upgrade if you frequently drive in slick driving conditions or on rough terrain. The V-6 engine feels peppy and responsive, and even the hybrid powertrain doesn't slow this model down too much. If fuel efficiency is a top consideration, the hybrid model is an appealing choice as it returns an estimated 82 mpg-e. The gas-powered minivan returns an estimated 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

The spacious cabin of this vehicle offers three rows of seating and plenty of storage cubbies and bins. With the base model, standard comfort and convenience features include Stow ‘n' Go second-row seats, cloth upholstery, tri-zone climate control, and second-row window shades. Chrysler doesn't skimp on tech. The base trim also includes a six-speaker sound system, multiple USB ports, a 10.1-inch touch screen, and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. The Touring L tacks on leather upholstery, heated front seats, additional second-row USB ports, and a heated steering wheel. Choose the Limited to get an upgraded sound system, navigation, an integrated vacuum cleaner, charging ports in the third row, ventilated front seats, and wireless device charging. With the top Pinnacle, standard features include a premium 18-speaker sound system, a rear entertainment system, and a household-style outlet.

All 2021 Pacifica models come well-equipped on the safety side. Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision mitigation, lane-departure warning and mitigation, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Additional options are available with the higher trims, such as an automated parking system, a surround-view camera, and parking sensors with automatic braking.
