Standard in all but the Trailhawk is a four-cylinder 2.4-liter engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels or the available all-wheel-drive system. Under the hood of the AWD only Trailhawk is a powerful 3.2-liter V-6 engine that is optional on other models. It generates 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. Also available on the three top trims is a fuel-efficient turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. All engines are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

For improved economy in the city, each engine features stop/start technology. With the 2.0-liter turbo or 2.4-liter engine, you will be rewarded with up to 31 miles per gallon for highway driving. The V-6 will return up to 29 mpg on the highway and, when equipped with the Trailer Tow Group, will enable you to tow up to 4,500 pounds.

Inside the Latitude, you'll find cloth seating, a power adjustable driving seat, 60/40 split folding rear seats, air conditioning, a 3.5-inch cluster display, and a leather-bound steering wheel and shift knob. The multimedia system offers a 7-inch touch screen, voice command with Bluetooth, smartphone integration, four USB ports, and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio. Latitude Plus adds ambient lighting, while the Trailhawk has unique rugged features along with leather-trimmed cloth seats, dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch color cluster display, and an 8.4-inch touch screen. Limited models feature Nappa leather upholstery, a power passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, and a premium Alpine nine-speaker audio system.

Safety features included as standard include electronic stability control, all-speed traction control, electronic roll mitigation, a four-channel anti-lock braking system with brake assist, hill start assist, trailer sway control, and a rear camera with dynamic gridlines. The Latitude Plus adds blind spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and rear parking sensors.
