1. Interlochen State Park

2. Rush Lake State Game Area
The Pointe Mouillee State Game Area is a Michigan state recreation area. The park spans over ninety-two miles and covers approximately 7,483 acres. It offers hunting, fishing, and other recreational opportunities. You’ll also find protected wildlife and wetlands. The park is open year-round.
You can kayak or paddle board, or you can enjoy swimming in the nearby Teeple Lake. The park also has boat ramps, campgrounds with hookups, and hiking trails. The area also hosts an annual fishing derby and a children’s activity center. In addition, the park features five miles of scenic trails.
3. Albert E. Sleeper State Park
Located on Lake Huron, Albert E. Sleeper State Park is a public recreation area. It spans 723 acres and is four miles northeast of Caseville. Visitors can enjoy a day of fishing, hiking, or exploring this beautiful state park. While visiting be sure to visit the surrounding area and enjoy the beauty of Lake Huron.
In 2020 the park introduced beach camping. Fifteen private glamping campsites in the forest and along the shoreline were installed. The tents feature a queen-sized cot and bunk beds. Additionally, they are equipped with a picnic area and a sun shower for guests.
4. Maybury State Park
Maybury State Park is comprised of 944 acres of gently rolling terrain, open meadow, and mature forest, providing a great deal of opportunity for outdoor recreation. Maybury State Park Is an accessible park offering park attendees off-road electronic chairs to explore the park’s diverse terrain. It’s free to rent one of these chairs and can be used for a day, so take your time exploring the park and finding the best spot for your family.
