2021 Dodge Challenger
You can't beat the Dodge Challenger when it comes to muscle and style. It comes with a choice of powerful engines, a spacious and comfortable cabin, and the latest technology. For the 2021 model year, the Challenger gains memory for the driver's seat and models with the power-adjustable steering column and power-adjustable side mirrors. Here's a look at the 2021 Dodge Challenger.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Challenger is the SXT. It comes with 18-inch wheels and a sport suspension. Stepping up to the GT gets you a hood scoop and performance suspension, along with 20-inch alloy wheels and fog lights. The R/T adds a performance exhaust, and bumping up again to the R/T Scat Pack adds black-finished 20-inch alloy wheels, an aluminum hood, black brake calipers, and upgraded brakes. You can also get the SRT Hellcat with red brake calipers, an adaptive competition-tuned suspension, and an aluminum hood with dual air scoops.
The SRT Hellcat Redeye and the SRT Super Stock are the top two trim levels and come with added performance features.
Engine (Power)
The base engine for the Challenger is a 3.6-liter V-6 that makes 303 horsepower. A 5.7-liter V-8 for the R/T boosts power to 372 horsepower and the R/T Scat Pack gets a 6.4-liter V-8 with 485 horsepower. The SRT Hellcat comes with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that puts out 717 horsepower and the Redeye version upgrades to a 6.2-liter V-8 with 797 horsepower. You can even get more power with the SRT Super Stock. It has a 6.2-liter V-8 that makes 807 horsepower.
Performance
The Challenger is the ultimate cruiser. It has plenty of muscle no matter which engine you choose, and every powertrain provides quick and efficient acceleration. Rear-wheel drive comes standard in all trims with all-wheel drive available for the SXT and GT models.
Interior
There's room for five in the Challenger with spacious and comfortable seats in both rows. Standard cabin features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cloth upholstery, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. Paddle shifters come in the GT, and the R/T adds metal pedals. You'll get a heated steering wheel and heated front seats in the R/T Scat Pack and a flat-bottomed steering wheel in the Hellcat. Technology features include a 7-inch touch screen, the Uconnect 4 infotainment system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the Scat Pack gets you Uconnect 4C with an 8.4-inch touch screen, satellite radio, and an upgraded stereo. A nine-speaker Alpine stereo is available and depending on the trim, you can also upgrade to an 18-speaker Harman Kardon stereo.
Safety Features
All Challengers have a rearview camera, while the GT and above all have rear parking sensors. All trims offer the optional Driver Convenience Group with a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, and you can also add the Technology Group. This optional package comes with automatic high beam headlights, and for automatic transmission models it also adds forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.
