Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Jeep Wrangler is available in four trims: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. All models are available in a two-door or four-door configuration. Standard features that come with all trims include the signature Black Sunrider soft top and front fog lamps. As a base model, the Sport trim is far from basic with standard 17-inch black steel styled wheels, halogen headlamps, and ten options of exterior color. On the other end of the spectrum, the Rubicon boasts a rugged look and large off-road tires.
Engine (Power)
All models come with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 285 horsepower, which is more than suitable for a vehicle that is built for both off-road adventures and daily road driving. But if you're planning to buy a Jeep Wrangler for your outdoor activities only, upgrade your car with the optional 2.0-liter turbo engine with 270 horsepower. Towing capacity for both engines ranges from 2,000 pounds for the two-door configuration and 3,500 pounds for the four-door.
Performance
Although the Jeep Wrangler does well in city drives, it's the off-road appeal that has car buyers raving (and dreaming) about it. The Sahara comes standard with heavy-duty suspension and the Sport and Sport S with normal duty suspension. The Rubicon is the ultimate adventure car with standard performance suspension. For car buyers who think the six-speed manual transmission that comes standard with all models is not enough, consider upgrading it to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Interior
The Jeep Wrangler may lack in storage space but excels in interior comfort. Cloth seats are prepared for wear and tear and easy to clean. It's excellent news for adventurous spirits. As for storage, in a car where you can effortlessly take the top off, does it matter? Still, the 32 cubic feet of cargo space in both configurations is impressive. Speaking of space, rear seats in the two-door configuration are surprisingly roomy with 35.7 inches of leg room. For extra comfort and easier to access rear seats, choose the four-door configuration with 38.3 inches of leg room.
Safety Features
The look of the Jeep Wrangler may remind you of classic cars, but the safety features are well-rooted in the present's needs. The Sport and Sport S come standard with an intuitive and user-friendly 5-inch touchscreen display and the Sahara and Rubicon with a 7-inch. It's not just a tech feature; it's a powerful aid to keep drivers focused on the road. All models include standard rearview camera and four airbags. Good-to-have optional upgrades include blind spot monitors and parking sensors. If you're looking for a car that performs well both in the city and the outdoors, the Jeep Wrangler is your answer. Take it out on a test drive and find out for yourself.
